With this app, you can find and then book a parking spot.  It works by you entering in the search option where you are going, choosing a date and time of arrival and departure, selecting any preferences / amenities such as covered parking, in & out privileges, oversized vehicles, etc. and paying through the app. When you arrive at your reserved lot or garage, you scan your phone on the scanner marked “SpotHero Voucher” and pull into your spot. When you leave, you simply scan  again. SpotHero gives you discounted parking rates (advertised as possibly 50% off parking lot/garages rates). Once you reserve a parking spot with SpotHero, you receive a “parking pass” via your email or in the reservation section of the app, which serves as your receipt and thus your guaranteed parking spot. You can cancel a reservation if needed and be refunded. Basically, the parking lots and garages that work with SpotHero provide parking inventory information directly to SpotHero for these reservations. SpotHero also offers monthly parking rates. This app sounds great for discounted rates at parking garages, not to mention being an overall time saver. Parking can be so expensive. Pretty good reviews too… 4 1/2 stars on Yelp.
